Hello my name is Terry Ellis I am the man behind Pursuit Perfect System and the man you see in front of the camera most of the time.  This is and always will be a project of passion. I love all good things for audio and video reproduction and have for many years.  It started with my family members being audiophiles but I found my passion for music playback in the form of DJing and loved listening to and setting up PA rigs.  I naturally progressed into home cinema systems and their setup always keeping a huge focus on music sound quality.

I am sure my story will resonate with a lot of you.  I am not from a journalism background, I am not from a video editing or photography background either.  I am a true HiFi and Home Cinema enthusiast but I take my video production and sound quality extremely seriously.
I am here to enjoy the hobby, get excited about it and relish in the many technical wonders we have available to us today bringing them all to you in high quality video and from this website.

That leads nicely to talk about Pursuit Perfect System as a company, we are completely independent, with no ties to any manufacturer or dealer, despite working very closely with several.  Every review is totally honest based on an expert opinion and we focus more on the performance rather than speaking through every single feature a product may have.

The reviews on the website and You Tube  channel always have our unique high quality sound recordings to support them.  Yes you get to hear how the products sound playing within "reference" review system.

Why do we do this and how can this possibly be of use to you?
Sound is a very interesting thing and is very difficult to explain in spoken or written words resulting in reviewers often choosing to use colourful or elaborate language to try and explain the intricacies of an audio quality.  Its then purely the readers interpretation of this language which results in a conclusion based little more than their imagination of the sound quality.  We can do better than this, a high quality recording listened to on a high quality playback system will always get you closer to the real thing because microphones don't lie, they don't have prejudice or a bias.  e strongly believe the more of these videos you watch the more you will get out of them.

We visit as many of the industry Exhibitions and Shows as we can as they are a huge part of the discovery and learning curve for us and you as enthusiasts.   We go one or maybe even ten steps better we cover them with very high quality 4K video and CD quality audio and bring video coverage to our You Tube Channel for you to enjoy .

A big part of our focus is helping audiophiles get more from the hobby by looking at the many different areas that are essential to great audio and video in detail.  I am an Audiophile tweeker, I want to get the best possible performance from every component I own and review, this bring me immense satisfaction and joy.  I will share all of this with you to help you do the same with your system.

I can assure you of a bright and interesting future for Pursuit Perfect System and I invite you to become a member of the community by visiting our website regularly, subscribing to our You Tube Channel and dont forget to follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook

We appreciate your support and I look forward to seeing you in the next one.

Review Procedure

Here at Pursuit Perfect System we believe in a fair test platform for all equipment we review.

Our Listening Room is Acoustically Treated with products from GIK Acoustics - our review room has a very low reverb and is the ideal conditions for assessing and recording thje differences in audio equipment.

However we dont feel just good acoustics is enough - we also use Dirac Live to ensure we have an exacting frequency response at the main listening position so all kit is reviewed free of the rooms affects.

We also pay close attention to all the other important areas of system performance so that every product we review can perform at its best

WHY IS IT
SO DARK IN HERE?

Our Listening Room is a "Bat Cave" its completely blacked out with specific materials used to absorb light

We do this for the Best Picture Quality as it maximises Contrast on a Projector Screen and because it gives the best Picture Immersion by removing the room from the viewers peripheral vision

We find this also has the same benefit when listening to music, reducing the visual stimulus helps us to go away with the music and helps it to become a more realistic experience
